Collecting my notes about this interesting idea and lifestyle. I call it “post-neolithic” because we’re not “paleolithic” humans and I don’t think we should be “neolithic” humans anymore. During the neolithic era we grew to know much more about science, medicine and biology than paleothic humans ever knew, but we often have become over specialized in our knowledge and over reliant on industrial agriculture to feed ourselves. We leave things to the “nerds” instead of taking on basic understanding for ourselves. We let the mass media confuse us about what’s good and what’s bad to eat. We let corporations assert that they can own DNA as intellectual property as they create genetically-modified food to further diverge and speed our nutrition away from the “norms” we consumed before the neolithic. We let governments and media create new confusing rules about what you should grow, what you should eat, and how you should live. Stop that.
The first substantial post is rather historical, or pre-historical since it covers much of time before written history in Why Post-Neolithic? (Part 1) where I explore exactly how much time there has been before the Neolithic. Later posts include my experiments with different ingredients and research on exercise and science surrounding the lifestyle.
Great blog!
Thank you!
